No-poo? Not right now.

I've decided to go a little bit more 'natural' these days. Kim has decided to go 'no-poo'. I just don't think I'm ready for that step yet. However, after I am done with this current bottles of shampoo and conditioner I am going to try out the quart size bottle of castille soap. I'm going to add a little eo of lavender and some water to make it a little easier to use, but we'll try that. I have some jojoba oil to use on my ends if they get a little frizzy. And if I ever need to, I'll use ACV like I've done in the past.

I also love to take baths and usually use a bubble bath. But I can't ever justify the cost of them and we don't have the room, so tonight I just sprinkled some baking soda in there. It was so nice! Felt like calgone. So we'll try that for a while.

As far as cleansing face and body, I'll just use the castille soap there too. I'll let ya know how it all works for me. We'll see. I'll give it a month.

I'm wanting to go no-poo at some point as well. I have a huge bottle of shampoo to use up, but I'm almost out of conditioner. I'd like to try acv for conditioning and want to add some eo--where do you get yours?

Rachel,
I actually got mine from my birth kit. Lavender eo is great for healing and soothing that area. I put a few drops in my peri-bottle and boy did that help. But you could get it from Now Foods. That is the brand I have. Try iherb.com. I'm pretty sure they have eo's. I've done acv before for conditioning and it's nice. Just don't use too much. Or you will smell like a salad. Which is not so bad, considering what you could smell like. LOL!

Yeah, if your hair smells like vinegar after it's dry, you've used too much!!

I am actually SHOCKED at how great my hair looks - it's soft and shiny and I've never EVER had this much body before, and I've tried EVERYTHING. I *heart* baking soda and ACV!

I don't use shampoo, but I do use conditioner. Shampoo is bad for curly hair! Castille soap is great for the shower (I use Dr. Bronner's shikakai soaps and really like them).

For baths, put a little oatmeal in the blender and then pour it in the tub. Other EO's are great for baths too - eucalyptus (awesome for stuffy noses) and peppermint. I love EO's and use them for lots of things. Frontier has great prices on EO's.
